Cologne-based Experial, a market research for DeepTech startups through AI-powered simulations, has closed its 2 million euro pre-seed funding round to develop digital twins with AI to help companies make market decisions quickly and accurately.
The round is led by Capnamic and is also supported by Xdeck and well-known angel investors, including Professor Bernd Schmitt of Columbia University.
Dr. Tobias Klinke, co-founder and CEO of Experial, explained: “Our vision is to ensure that all businesses have access to data-driven consumer research. Instead of expensive and time-consuming research, digital twins with AI provide fast, accurate, and scalable market analysis.”
Experial was founded in 2022 by Tobias Klink and Dr. Nader Fadl. Their machine learning-based technology simulates consumer behavior, demographic patterns, and purchasing decisions without using personal data. This allows businesses to conduct real-time market testing, campaign analysis and product feedback assessments.
Experial believes that traditional research tends to be inaccurate. Experial appears to eliminate these biases in simulation-based audience analysis. This is reportedly up to 100 times more cost-effective than traditional methods.
While traditional research can take several weeks, experimental claims provide reliable insights in real time. This allows businesses to tailor their daily decisions to their customers’ needs and preferences, ultimately increasing long-term profitability.
“We are pleased to announce that Olaf Jacobi, managing partner at Capnamic, commented: “The experience is impressively demonstrating how artificial intelligence can revolutionize market research. The technology could lead a whole new era of data-driven decision-making. We are excited to support our teams on this journey.”
With the new funding, Experial expanded its team and welcomed Dr. Nils Rethmeier as co-founder and CTO. The company has already worked with key clients such as Fressnapf, TDK and Versicherungskammer Bayern.
The team also implements specialized market research agents that can conduct qualitative data analysis, interviews and research. Additionally, digital twin technology with AI is optimized with effectiveness scores to evaluate synthetic statements.
Another important advancement is the ability to analyse visual stimuli, such as social media content and advertising, allowing businesses to gain even more accurate market insights.
