I’ve seen developers do amazing things with Gemini 2.5 Pro, so I decided to release an updated version a few weeks earlier and get into the developer’s hands early.

Combining this with coding allows for new flows that were previously impossible in previous versions. For example, the Google AI Studio video learning app shows how Gemini 2.5 Pro creates interactive learning apps based on a single YouTube video. Once video understanding is improved and the UI is complete, the updated Gemini 2.5 Pro model offers a more functional experience than the previous simple examples.
Easier feature development
Gemini 2.5 Pro is powerful in front-end web development and helps you achieve more results. Implementing the new feature means manually diving into the design file, inspecting components that match style properties such as colors, fonts, padding, margins, and boundaries, and manually writing the CSS code needed to accurately replicate those visual properties. Next, imagine using Gemini 2.5 Pro in your IDE and generating new features, such as adding a video player in the style of other apps in the Gemini 95 Starter app to your model.

Gemini 2.5 Pro makes it easy to realize your ideas with both features and a beautiful UI. The new Dictation Starter app, built using the updated model, is a great example of this behavior. Pay attention to details such as wavelength animation, responsive design, and subtle button hover effects. By default, this model enjoys aesthetic web development while maintaining maneuverability, allowing developers to quickly incorporate concepts into their work web apps. Gemini 2.5 Pro was able to design and code Microphone UI animations for the Dictation Starter app.

It can be built with Gemini 2.5 Pro using the Gemini API in Google AI Studio, allowing enterprise customers to use Vertex AI.
For developers who are already using Gemini 2.5 Pro, this new version not only improves coding performance, but also addresses key developer feedback, such as reducing errors in function calls and improving function call trigger rates. Previous iterations (03-25) refer to the latest version (05-06), so no action is required to use the improved model. We also updated the model cards with a newer version of the 2.5 Pro.
