Humanity is to add new features to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot, Claude. The company is adding a new agent feature to its chatbots called research. Similar to Gemini and ChatGpt’s Deep Research, a study published last week allows Claude to conduct multiple web searches on a variety of topics to find comprehensive information about topics and automatically explore questions from different angles. Humanity also integrates Google Workspace into Claude, allowing users to provide AI Chatbot source information from work data.
Claude can now investigate the questions
The AI company announced new features in the integration of Claude and Google Workspace in a newsroom post last week. Claude’s research is currently available in beta to MAX, Teams and Enterprise subscribers in Brazil, Japan and the US. This tool is accessible after turning on survey settings in chat. Additionally, Google Workspace Integration is now available to all paid users in profile settings.

Claude’s research is an agent tool. You can connect to the internet, not just Google Docs, Gmail, and Calendars via Google Workspace. When a user enters a query after switching the research button, AI performs several web searches on the topic and related topics to retrieve information. It also uses your Google Workspace data (if you allow Claude) to look for related information.
After curating the information, Claude can also draft emails in Gmail, save copies in Google Docs, and autonomously create calendar entries. Users must review information before saving manually or sending an email.
In particular, responses generated using the study will display the source of information accompanying citations. Humanity claims that AI agents provide comprehensive answers in minutes, balancing speed and quality.
Google Workspace integration is available to all Claude paid subscribers on teams and enterprise plans, but administrators must first enable the entire access domain before individual users can connect their accounts.
