NXTGEN Cloud Technologies has announced a strategic alliance with global cybersecurity leader Thales to bring defensive grade protection to India’s sovereign cloud. The collaboration aims to combine sovereign infrastructure with Thales’ globally trusted cybersecurity technology to enhance national cloud security.
The partnership introduces a set of advanced security features to Indian companies, including comprehensive encryption, AI-driven threat detection and sovereignty management.
Widely used by defense and government agencies around the world, Thales’ solutions protect NXTGEN’s cloud platform, ensuring compliance and preparation for future threats, including quantum computing. Rajgopal, MD & CEO of NXTGEN, said:
The key focus is post-Quantum encryption (PQC), which enables businesses to protect sensitive data from new quantum threats. In addition, businesses guarantee full data sovereignty from foreign laws such as US Cloud Law and FISA 702, which are the infrastructure and encryption keys under India’s jurisdiction.
Industry complying with RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, MEITY and CERTIN regulations will benefit from an integrated compliance framework. Thales’ Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), Zero Trust Architecture, and Key Lifecycle Management support these trust zones.
SpeedCloud AI, NXTGEN’s AI platform, incorporates Thales’ advanced encryption and access control, ensuring resilience and tuning integrity for your AI workloads.
“Thales is proud to bring globally reliable cybersecurity solutions to Nxtgen’s sovereign cloud,” said Ashesh Thanawala, APJ Channel Sales Director at Thales. “Together, we aim to enable Indian businesses and institutions to safely accelerate digital transformation. With confidence, compliance and complete control.”
Recently, NXTGEN announced the country’s first financial services cloud (FSC). It is a dedicated platform designed to meet the demand for strict compliance, security and data sovereignty in the Indian banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector.
