According to multiple media outlets and social media users, Meta has removed the AI-generated bot profile on Instagram after users discovered the AI-generated bot profile on Instagram and reacted with a mix of anger, disgust, and suspicion. It is said that it has been deleted.
Her Instagram profile listed a variety of people, including a dating coach, an author, and a mother who is part of the LGBT community, The Verge reported. There were also photos of AI-generated bot users, but their profiles said they were “AI managed by Meta.”
Many Instagram users were upset to see AI-generated profiles behaving like human users, posting casual photos and captions about random events in their daily lives.
Some people claim that they can’t block these accounts even if they wanted to.
The AI-generated profiles managed by Meta are not new, but they have only recently come under criticism.
