Jagran New Media and Sharda University Host seminar on AI and Fact-Checking

Jagran New Media cooperated with Sharda School of Media and Film & Entertainment, and held a national seminar on January 22, 2025 on “Fighting Fight with Fact: Fact Check for Provision”. A workshop by Google News Initiative’s confirmation expert, and discussions from industry experts and scholars.

Rajesh Upadhyay, the editor -in -chief and executive president of Jagran New Media, has distributed welcome notes at the seminar and set the tone of the minutes. This seminar shows the intersections of technology, media, and education to deal with one of the most imminent issues in our times, and this collaboration is navigating today’s digital media environment. It reflects our commitment to equip the tools and knowledge to the next generation.

Dr. Ritu S Sood, Dean, Dean, Sharda School of Media, Film and Entertainment School said, “In today’s world, misinformation is very easy to use AI to use AI in today’s world. Is a wonderful opportunity for technology to make news more accurate and reliable.

The event contained an address by Dr. Tavpritesh Sethi, director of the IIT Delhi’s healthcare unusual center. Swapnil Mehta, the founder of SimPPL CAMBRIDGE. Santosh K PATRA, chairman of MICA media, entertainment, and sports business. They focused on the impact on media practices, accuracy, and ethical considerations, and discussed the use of AI in the fight with incorrect information.

Vishvas News, a Jagran New Media fact check wing, fought with incorrect information and conducts an online and offline campaign to promote media literacy. Recently, a message check tool has been launched in collaboration with IIT KHARAGPUR, which was funded by the IFCN subsidy, to simplify the fact check using AI and machine learning. VISHVAS NEWS also has Sach KE SATHI seniors, a literacy drive that supports people identifying and competing for misconceptions of Sach Ke Saithi and Sach Ke Saithi Senior.
