In response to the wave of rebound Tuesday morning, Marvel denied that artificial intelligence was used to create a new poster for “Fantastic Four: First Step.”

After months of predictions and secrets, the studio announced the first trailer for “Fantastic Four: First Step” on Tuesday, spreading praise and excitement. However, the positive reaction to the trailer was when social media users began to notice a surprising contradiction involving four women and two women instead of five and two women with the same faces. It quickly got complicated with the release of the Fantastic Four promotional poster. Along with the first teaser.

Please see the poster for the question below.

Users have flooded social media platforms like X and BlueSky, taking all the weird details of posters to themselves, and denounce the wonders of using AI to create promotional art instead of hiring human artists. However, despite many doubts, a Marvel spokesman confirmed to TheWrap that AI was not used to create these posters.

The negative reaction of quick triggers to posters comes when more studios and films are implementing AI in their workflows. Like last year’s “Serious Night with the Devil,” the “Brutalist” recently fired fire on what is allegedly a minimal use of AI. Marvel Studios received immense criticism in 2023 for using AI to create the opening credit sequence for the Samuel L. Jackson-led Disney+ series “Secret Invasion.”

However, in this case, it appears that there is no AI controversy in Marvel’s early “Fantastic Four” posters.

“Fantastic Four: First Step” is scheduled to be a hit in theaters on July 25th.

Postmarvel has denied using AI in its “Fantastic Four” poster following social media backlash.
