Straiker was released in Sunnyvale, California on March 27, 2025 and raised $21 million in funding from Lightspeed Ventures and Bain Capital Ventures. The company has implemented AI-Native security solutions designed to protect corporate AI applications and agents, focusing on mitigating critical security and safety risks.
The purpose of this solution is to address emerging threats such as mass data exfoliation, supply chain attacks, and autonomous chaos. These risks stem from leveraging the language of AI and inferring vulnerabilities.
Straiker co-founder and CEO Ankur Shah highlighted the expansion of the threat landscape. “Companies now have to act to stay ahead of these new risks and make AI security a top priority,” Shah said.
Straiker’s Platform offers automated red team-level ratings integrated with runtime safety and security guardrails. This continuous analysis enables real-time protection against multi-layered threats.
Platform strategies include integration of intelligence from multiple layers, including users, models, applications, agents, identities, and data. This layered approach ensures accurate assessment and protection across the board.
The Straiker launch includes two AI-Native modules designed to robustly address critical AI security concerns.
ASCEND AI: This module provides detailed attack simulations using a curation set of AI-specific threats. Ascend AI provides one-time risk assessments or continuous testing to ensure the proactive detection and resolution of underlying problems. Users can choose to use a one-time rating or continuous monitoring to address potential threats before they appear. Protect AI: This module surpasses rapid levels of threats to protect AI applications and agents from a wide range of security and security threats across different layers. Provides automated threat blocking, dynamically responding to risks detected by rising AI and reducing risk.
Both modules feature Straiker AI Engine and utilize fine-tuning models that infer beyond intelligence from all AI application layers. This design promotes accuracy and low latency for quick app performance. Straiker’s infrastructure ensures privacy concerns by customizing its own safety requirements.
Verdantis AI Agents will end all your data nightmare
Straiker also hosts the Star Team, a dedicated AI security research team that assesses the risks of models and autonomous agents and tracks hostile tactics, techniques and procedures.
