UM Library is excited to introduce AI Research Assistant (BETA), a generation AI tool that can be used to start an online library search. AI Research Assistant helps you quickly search and gather first insights into research topics.

AI Research Assistant (BETA) includes the following features:
Provides summary answers to research questions raised in everyday language.
We recommend up to five related publications from the library collection.
It offers the option to “Show More” and see the full search results.
We will propose additional question prompts to expand your research topic and explore further.
Supports multiple languages.
Note: Users must log in to use it.

Sources referenced by AI Research Assistant exclude content from Elsevier, JSTOR and newspapers. The print collection is not included in the summary that you generate.
