Today we are releasing early access to Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview (I/O Edition). This is an updated version of 2.5 Pro that greatly improves coding functionality and builds particularly attractive interactive web apps. We were planning to release this update on Google I/O in a few weeks, but based on our overwhelming enthusiasm for this model, we wanted to get it early so that people could start building it.
This is based on overwhelmingly positive feedback on Gemini 2.5 Pro’s coding and multimodal inference capabilities. Beyond UI-focused development, these improvements range from other coding tasks such as code transformation, code editing, and developing complex agent workflows.
