Noida (SRI-N)’s Samsung R&D Institute (SRI-N) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras.
The partnership aims to promote collaborative research, accelerate technology development, and develop talents ready for the future.
The five-year MOU was signed by Professor V. Kamakoti, Managing Director of SRI-N and Director of IIT Madras, Professor Kyungyun Roo.

As part of this MOU, a wide range of collaborative activities will be provided, including sponsored research projects, consultant projects, technology licensing, training, facility development, and sponsorships for future student fellowships.
Emphasizing this partnership, SRI-N Managing Director Kyungyun Roo said that collaboration with IIT Madras is an important step in co-creating a meaningful, comprehensive and ready for the future.
“Together, we aim to deeper integration of India’s regional languages to strengthen the galactic AI ecosystem and contribute to breaking linguistic barriers across the country. Furthermore, we are engaged in co-development of emerging technologies and strengthening our skill set,” added ROO.

Professor V. Kamakoti, director of IIT Madras, expressed his delight, saying that the Institute is proud to partner with SRI-N, adding that the partnership will sponsor “innovative research and technology development through the effective use of AI technology.”
“In a rapidly changing technology landscape, MOUs build strong connections with the theoretical knowledge and practical industry solutions needed to increase beneficiaries, mitigate risk and address uncertainty,” Professor Kamakoty said.

The value to mention here is that Sri-Noida has already expanded its network of academic collaborations with long-term strategic Mous with laboratories such as IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay and IIT Ropar.
Sri-Noida sponsors research and development (R&D) projects at its facility, IIT Madras, or through collaboration at both locations.
