AI Platform Tracks Ingredient Regulations

San Francisco – Turing Labs Inc., a technology startup founded in 2019 by Manmit Shrimali and Ajith Govind, has announced an expanded version of its AI-powered platform. Turing Labs is an AI-powered platform that helps consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies quickly develop, redistrict and bring products to market faster.

The platform was developed to help food and beverage manufacturers quickly reformulate products that may be affected by ingredient regulations. This extension was specifically intended to ban FDA’s future red dye No. 3.

Turing Lab technology combines AI algorithms with multi-component domain intelligence.

Shrimali, founder and CEO of Turing Labs, said: “Our platform significantly reduces the time and resources required to reformulate, ensuring compliance and product quality across multiple regulatory scenarios.”

Through the platform, manufacturers can accelerate their research and testing processes to identify replacements of components.

Manufacturers also have access to natural ingredients, safety and quality measurements for ingredient substitution and cost optimization.

According to TechCrunch, Turing Labs raised $16.5 million in the Series A round in January 2022, accelerating R&D, growing engineering teams and operations, and building an organization that competes in the market.

The round was led by Insight Partners. Previous investors included Moment ventures and Y-combinators. New investors include Borge Hald, co-founder and CEO of Medallia.
