Fujifilm Business Innovation Singapore focuses on helping customers adopt AI

“When employees understand how to use AI responsibly and confidently, technology becomes a catalyst for better ideas and results. Our role is to help our customers build on this foundation and move the industry forward,” said Wee Tee Sheng, CEO of Fujifilm Business Innovation Singapore.

As businesses continue to expand their use of AI and automation, Fujifilm Business Innovation Singapore remains focused on being a trusted partner as organizations navigate the rapidly changing digital landscape, especially as businesses continue to focus on leveraging technology to rebuild productivity, customer experience, and long-term resilience.

According to Wee Tee Sheng, CEO of Fujifilm Business Innovation Singapore (Fujifilm BIS), conversations with customers today are no longer just about tools, but about outcomes such as faster decision-making, stronger governance, integrated workflows and enabling smarter use of data.

“Our role, therefore, is to help build an intelligent, secure and connected workplace that aligns with our long-term goals. To that end, we are enhancing the capabilities of our AI-powered document and data management services, hyperautomation, and secure cloud-based workflow platforms. ‘s solutions are designed to streamline operations, strengthen compliance, and derive insights from information that might otherwise remain hidden. At the same time, we’re powering our service support and customer experience frameworks with more predictive capabilities, so you can identify and resolve issues before they occur and disrupt your operations.

In 2026, customers can expect Fujifilm BIS to maintain a human-centric approach, Wee noted. As technology evolves rapidly, their role is to help teams adopt these tools responsibly, confidently, and sustainably.

“We aim to be a partner that helps organizations transform at the right pace, with a measurable impact on productivity, skills and customer experience. In other words, we’re here to help businesses thrive with technology, rather than being overwhelmed by it. We’re committed to doing it in a practical and sustainable way,” Wee said.

Opportunities to grow in 2026

Fujifilm Group has over 1,100 employees in Singapore and has been established in the country for 60 years. In September 2025, Fujifilm BIS signed MoUs with three strategic partners: Trusted Hub, Bizmann System, and ReN3 to provide end-to-end digital transformation solutions, from data management and process automation to AI-powered insights and content management. These partnerships are expected to support the transformation efforts of 1,000 companies over the next three years.

In 2026, Wee believes that changes in enterprises rethinking entire workflows, buyer and customer journeys, and service delivery models will create significant opportunities for enterprises and the businesses they support.

“One of the key areas is the growing need for automation at scale. Many organizations are navigating human resource constraints, rising customer expectations and increased operational complexity, and are looking for intelligent automation that can streamline work without compromising security or compliance. This is an area where our expertise in AI, analytics and secure document solutions can enable us to make a real difference,” said Wee.

Another opportunity highlighted by Wee comes from the rise of hybrid and borderless work. Businesses need a secure platform where teams can seamlessly collaborate, share information, and make decisions.

“Our cloud-based workflow platform and digital workplace services are designed to support just that, helping you stay agile while protecting your information,” Wee added.

The third opportunity lies in the responsible adoption of AI. Wee explained that while businesses are excited about AI, they also want clarity.

“For example, how do we use it correctly, ethically and safely? This is where our role goes beyond providing the technology. We work closely with our customers to establish governance frameworks, train internal capabilities and coach responsible usage so they can innovate with confidence.”

For Wee, as digital maturity increases across the region, organizations are increasingly looking for integrated solutions and trusted partners that can support end-to-end transformation. And this is the role we hope Fujifilm BIS will continue to play.

overcome challenges

While the AI bubble debate is still being discussed in organizations’ business decisions, Wee noted that the biggest challenge will not be AI know-how, but how organizations choose to use AI.

“The AI bubble will not burst, but hype will be replaced by more grounded expectations. Companies will expect data accuracy, measurable ROI, and stronger governance,” he explained.

Specifically, Wee believes that trust and security will continue to be top priorities for organizations. He said questions about data privacy and accuracy will only increase as AI is integrated into operations. Businesses need secure environments, transparent usage policies, and human oversight to ensure technology makes accurate and responsible decisions.

Another hurdle Wie foresees is employee readiness. Technology is evolving faster than most organizations can train their employees. If teams don’t have the skills to understand, validate, and question AI output, transformation will be delayed and risks will increase.

Finally, there is the danger of overdependence. Wee said that while AI is incredibly efficient, the lack of context and human judgment can also lead to errors that go unnoticed. As such, he believes successful organizations will be those that balance automation and human decision-making, especially in areas such as client communication, service delivery, and quality control.

“Ultimately, organizations that combine strong governance with a people-first mindset will lead the way. When employees understand how to use AI responsibly and confidently, technology becomes a catalyst for better ideas and outcomes. Our role is to help our customers build on this foundation to move the industry forward,” he concluded.
