The announcement came in a keynote address by Peter Zhou, Huawei’s vice president and president of Huawei’s data storage product line.
Zhou highlighted the role of data in digital conversion. “As AI is ready, we get data-enabled. The continuous deepening of industry digitization is the process of transforming data into information and knowledge.”
AI Data Lake solutions integrate data storage, management, resource pooling, and AI tools to enhance AI model training and inference. “Awakening Data, Accelerating Intelligence with AI-Reaid Data Infrastructure” was the theme of Zhou’s address.
Huawei’s solutions have several important components: Among them is the OceanStor A-series, a high-performance AI storage system that allows companies like Iflytek to significantly improve cluster training efficiency, according to Zhou.
System inference acceleration technology is designed to reduce latency and support the demands of real-time applications.
To manage vast AI datasets, OceanStor Pacific All-Flash scale-out storage offers an impressive 4 PB/2U capacity of 0.25 W/TB and ultra-low energy consumption, making it suitable for sectors such as education, scientific research, media and more.
Huawei’s OceanProtect backup storage offers 10x performance improvements over mainstream alternatives and boasts a ransomware detection rate of 99.99%. This feature is particularly beneficial for industries dealing with sensitive AI training data such as oil and gas.
Huawei has also implemented a DME platform for integrated data management across multiple regions. Get information from over 100 million files in seconds, helping organizations to dismantle data silos.
In terms of resource management, Huawei’s DCS platform supports efficient scheduling of a variety of computing units, while DME’s AI-powered data master introduces AI Copilot tools for intelligent operation and maintenance.
