Partnerships bring sophisticated AI solutions to academic processes and increase research productivity
The Indian Management Licensing Department (IIMK) formed a partnership with Cactus Communications (Cactus) on February 27, 2025, bringing cutting-edge AI-based research tools to students, professors and researchers. Through this partnership, IIMK will incorporate Cactus’ AI suite Editage Plus within the academic platform to optimize research productivity and establish a further laboratory as a benchmark for management research.
IIMK, the first to adopt AI at academia, will become the first Tier-1 business school in India to adopt editing and AI-based solutions, paving the way for other schools. The move will allow IIMK’s over 2,500 faculty members to access cutting-edge tools.

-R Discovery: A research reading and literature search platform with over 3 million subscribers.
– Watch out for graphs: Graphic illustration tools used by over 100 premier institutions.
– Global Journal Database: An in-depth journal discovery tool with over 43,000 certified journals.
Professor Debashis Chatterjee, director of Iim Kozhikode, highlighted the importance of the alliance, saying, “The incorporation of AI in academia is an innovative move towards a future of research and innovation. This partnership is a step in that direction, reflecting the vision for creating learning spaces targeted at research-oriented technologies, and emphasizing that it makes the most of its students. IIMK’s position as a global thought leader in management research.”
