Intelligent Automation, Nvidia and Enterprise AI

Intelligent automation is emerging as an engine of enterprise modernization as artificial intelligence agents move from experimental tools to core components of infrastructure and software strategies.

More recently, high-tech giants such as Nvidia Corp., Salesforce Inc., Dell Technologies Inc. and Intel Corp. have accelerated this transformation through high-stakes, platform redesigns and hardware roadmap built for highly inference. It’s not incremental upgrades, but structural overhauls. This redefines how orchestration, inference and agent systems are built, expanded and governed, according to the executive analyst at TheCube Research (photo, left). He unleashed this change with a thought-provoking discussion with Dave Velante (right) the chief analyst at TheCube Research. There, we explored the next thing in our AI infrastructure with our latest Thecube Pod episode.

“Sovereign clouds are basically domestic on-premises deployments or domestic cloud telephone companies,” says Furrier. “There are many similarities to on-premises. It means being on the country. It’s like on-premises. Even if you’re in the country, it’s basically a private cloud. It’s all hybrid. It’s a data center. The country is a computer. I think sovereign cloud will be the hottest market in the next two years.”

Intelligent Automation converts software stacks

Intelligent Automation is rewriting the software playbook. The Software-as-a-Services app has replaced agents who make decisions, take action and integrate behind the scenes. According to Velante, this shift driving searched generations, inference models and orchestration forces vendors to rethink everything.

“I don’t think Saas will disappear,” Velante said. “I don’t think agents will replace SaaS… agents will adjust SaaS and become a high value layer on top of that. I think creating agent value will definitely be 10 times the SaaS business, perhaps 100 times the number.

Still, success relies on running across multiple layers, not just AI models, but data harmony, security, compliance, and developer accessibility. Salesforce’s large Trailblazer community, which has been cultivated for 20 years, could become a key asset in recognizing its future, Furrier explained.

“They have to nail the data integration. They had to nail the data cloud. They brought this next wave of intelligence. We “do the search thing on the rags, get some reasoning, and the third wave is intelligence,” Furrier said. “It’s autonomous, semi-autonomous actions, agents, multi-step agents, agents of agents, and intelligence that scales up value. If we can build AI capabilities by then, it could become an AI software cloud.”

Nvidia promotes the infrastructure behind automation

Once the software moves to agents, Nvidia has locked its role as the AI infrastructure backbone. As demand for inference exploded, Microsoft Corp. alone hit the last quarter of 100 trillion tokens – that Grace Blackwell chips and Spectrum-X networking are more than just upgrades. According to Velante, they are stepping up a complete data center redesign built for the age of intelligent automation.

“This data suggests that withdrew from China and added networking, there is a rise beyond the gap and total margin trajectory filled. “The bottom row is that Blackwell is paying for itself in real time, and inference is exacerbating its effectiveness. The only thing is the loom of the export regime, and that’s China’s revenue. Otherwise, it all systems go.”

Nvidia’s strictly integrated stacks (calculation, memory, networking) are the power of an AI factory. Infrastructure built for speed, scale and non-stop reasoning. This is a bold shift from the general-purpose model and a major challenge for rivals. Some say that Nvidia’s real moat has not been eliminated. That’s to allow customers to scale faster on everything built in, Furrier pointed out.

“The problem is that moats may not be moats. That could be the enablement value that nvidia can discard the enablement on a large scale with tokens to supply demand and become a system for that.

New rules for software and scale

While Nvidia leads GPU charging, Dell and Intel are immersed in the intelligent automation boom. Dell’s message is clear. Companies want flexibility. With thousands of GPUs already deployed in AI Factory setups, Dell offers a full stack system tailored to not only hardware, but sovereignty and scale, explained Velante.

“It’s just a focus on stitching it together. As long as you can go, if you can go to an organization with a solution… you will bring a solution to the market and you will potentially do it by vertical industry through your VAR and other partners,” he added. “I think the cloud will continue to grow faster, but I think on-prem will modernize like Dell like HPE, Oracle like IBM.

Modern computing is being rebuilt from within. Agents are becoming operational layers, and data drive split seconds inference and infrastructure is now orchestration and acceleration. This is intelligent automation, and like past technological revolutions, it will reward those who move quickly and rethink everything while scrambling to catch up.

“I think we’re entering an urgent era of people’s careers. I think AI only allows that. I’m very bullish at the fact that it changes jobs from higher knowledge workers,” Furrier said. “I got into the workforce, but people didn’t even know how to use PCs. I saw people who were really smart… they’re smarter.
