Lattica, an FHE-based platform that enables the safe and private use of AI in the cloud, has emerged from stealth at $3.25 million in pre-seed funds. The round is led by Konstantin Lomashuk’s Cyber Fund and has been joined by Angel Investor Sandeep Nailwal, co-founders of Polygon Network and Antient: The Open AGI Foundation and others.
Lattica’s technology is a new key standard for industries such as the healthcare, finance and government sectors where data privacy and security concerns are limited in adoption of AI. According to Cisco’s 2025 AI Briefing: CEO Edition, 70% of CEOs admitted they are concerned about the state of their network as AI adoption is on the rise.
Completely same-sex encryption (FHE) is the “holy grail” of encryption for the past decade – all communication between the AI provider and the end user ensures that it remains encrypted without having to decipher it, but due to the lack of computation for many years, it has not yet been widely adopted. By leveraging the latest breakthroughs in the AI acceleration stack, Lattica leverages advanced acceleration technologies to operate FHE.
Leading by the founder and CEO of Dr. Rotem Tsabary, a PhD in Lattices-Based Cryptography from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Lattica leverages the fundamental mathematical similarities between FHE and machine learning to provide a cloud-based platform that relies on hardware that utilizes FHE to provide the security and private use of AI.
The main differentiator driving Lattica’s solution is its symbiotic cryptographic abstraction layer (HEAL). This improves performance and standardizes acceleration. A cloud-based service, HEAL acts as a universal bridge that connects FHE applications and AI algorithms across a variety of hardware, including GPUs, TPUs, CPUs, and dedicated accelerators such as ASICs and FPGAs.
“We have realized that by combining advances in hardware acceleration with software-based optimization, we can not only improve fHE efficiency towards commercial viability, but also solve the critical data dilemmas that hinder AI adoption in sensitive industries. “We are enabling practical FHE by developing solutions created for neural networks.”
As part of its emergence from Stealth, Lattica made demos of the platform available on its website, along with insights from in-depth research within the FHE community. The findings examined Lattica’s approach and revealed that a majority (71%) of respondents believe that a combination of hardware and software is enough to achieve adoption.
“Lattica pushes the boundaries of fully homomorphic encryption and solves one of the most important challenges in AI security,” says Konstantin Lomashuk, managing partner at Cyber Fund. “The CyberFund is proud to lead the pre-seeded round of Latica, a kind of deep technology innovation that defines the future, and we look forward to seeing Latica lead.”
Lattica’s focus on healthcare and finance further highlights the relevance of the platform, along with potential applications in the secure data analysis of medical research and encrypted financial transactions.
“Lattica’s product-first approach fundamentally transforms sensitive data processing in the AI ecosystem,” said Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of the Polygon Network and investor at Lattica. “Lattica has become a practical and scalable reality as Tsabary and her research team have proven that advances in the machine learning stack can dramatically improve FHE’s performance and have an immediate impact on the market.”
About Latica
Lattica allows for querying AI models with fully homomorphic encryption and provides FHE as a hardware-independent, cloud-based service. The platform leads scientific innovation by ensuring that user queries remain encrypted throughout the machine learning inference process. Lattica’s homogeneous cryptographic abstraction layer (HEAL) connects FHE applications, algorithm implementations, and a variety of hardware backends to provide secure AI calculations that are as accessible as traditional cloud-based AI services. The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv. For more information, users can visit www.lattica.ai.
