Google announces several new options to help retailers integrate its advanced generative AI tools, unveiled at the 2025 National Retail Federation (NRF) Big Show in New York this week I plan to.
First, Google aims to make it easier for retailers to use AI agents powered by its own AI systems. This allows brands to increase sales opportunities through guided assistance.
This shows examples of enterprise AI agents built using Google’s tools and the types of functionality these systems can facilitate based on templates and off-the-shelf options.
And now we also have bot options for retailers.
According to Google:
“Retailers can now use AI agents to personalize the customer experience by providing customized product recommendations, answering questions in real-time, and guiding shoppers through the purchase process. Ta. AI agents streamline operations by automating tasks like inventory management, customer service, and even loss prevention, freeing up employees to focus on higher-value work.”
Google says retailers can now build their own AI agents through Google agent spacean authoring platform that helps businesses build custom AI bots.
Given the increasing adoption of AI, there may soon be a growing expectation among shoppers to be able to ask questions and receive guidance almost instantly through advanced AI tools.
So it’s well worth considering whether you can create an AI agent tailored to your branding and sales efforts. Agentspace may give you the tools you need to do just that.
Google says it is also rolling out new enhancements to its Vertex AI Search for Commerce module to improve these experiences. Advances in image-to-video conversion and image generation toolgiving retailers more options to improve their business operations.
Finally, Google also announced several new AI development partners to help more companies integrate new AI tools.
“Shopify, Revionics, LiveRamp, Revieve, and Eagle Eye are helping retailers transform their marketing with AI-powered technology that personalizes campaigns, improves customer insights, and maximizes ad spend. Bloomreach, BigCommerce, and Quantum Metric are also helping retailers create seamless shopping experiences across all channels.”
This means more experts and specialized tools will be available to help with effective AI integration, making it easier for more businesses to incorporate our advanced AI tools into their workflows and customer interfaces.
Some interesting considerations that will allow more brands to maximize the efficiency and opportunities of generative AI.
