The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched Humain, a company owned by the national sovereign wealth fund, Public Investment Fund (PIF), to operate and invest in the entire Artificial Intelligence (AI) value chain as a unified operating company. The launch of Human was announced by Prince Mohammed bin bin bin bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
In a press release, Human said that HRH The Cront Prince will be chaired by HRH The Cront Prince to provide comprehensive AI services, products and tools including next-generation data centers, AI infrastructure, cloud capabilities, and advanced AI models and solutions. The company also offers one of the world’s most powerful multimodal Arabic major language models (LLMS).
Additionally, the company said the capabilities enable AI solutions to be developed and delivered locally, regionally and globally. “Humain aims to enhance human capabilities and support the unlocking of new possibilities through the digital economy,” he said, adding that “Humain will streamline various data center initiatives and accelerate the adoption of AI technology.
Sharing its goals and strategies, PIF said IT and its companies are actively investing in building an AI ecosystem and fostering international AI partnerships. “These investments benefit from Saudi Arabia’s strategic location in the ties of the three continents, allowing them to process large amounts of data, with a country’s economic growth outlook and a young, tech-savvy population supporting cutting-edge AI research and innovation.”
PIF’s strategy on AI and digital economy contributes to positioning Saudi Arabia as a globally competitive hub by innovating and building capabilities in its mission to enable development and diversification of the domestic economy. Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest growing digital infrastructure markets in the world, with new data centers planned in all major markets and connectivity infrastructure such as sub-sea cables and internet exchanges.
Meanwhile, human beings also promote local innovation and intellectual property creation, achieving the national AI aspirations. This includes integrating Saudi Arabia’s position as a global leader in enabling the most advanced data and AI technology and attracting the best talents of the sector both locally and globally.
