Local entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to quickly learn how artificial intelligence can enhance their marketing strategies in hands-on workshops hosted by the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation (GOEDC) and its partners.
Marketing on TAP: Learning how to use AI to draft better content is set on Brew Bridge from 11am to 2:30pm on May 20th. The event is designed to allow small business owners to understand and apply AI tools, especially ChatGpt, in a practical and friendly way.
“Understanding and hiring AI is no longer an option for small businesses. It’s essential,” said Claude Bacon, president and CEO of GOEDC. “We look forward to hosting events that not only teach practical tools but also doing that in a fun, community-centric space.”
The event will feature an overview of AI by Jody Hulsey, Center Director and Business Coach of the Kentucky Small Business Development Center (KY SBDC), followed by a panel discussion with local business owners who are already using AI for marketing.
“AI doesn’t have to be intimidating,” Hulsey said. “This training is to help people see how tools like ChatGPT can simplify what they already do, making content creation faster, smarter and more effective.”
Following a catering lunch from Brew Bridge, participants will participate in a ChatGpt training session led by Drew Hardesty, president of Wonder Boy Media.
“We use AI every day to help streamline our creative processes. We’re excited to share what’s working,” Hardesty says. “Whether you’re drafting social posts, emails, or video content, there are smart ways to use these tools without losing your brand’s voice.”
The workshop concludes with tasting and open networking sessions hosted by Brew Bridge. Tickets are $10 and include training, lunch and all the ingredients. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged. Tickets will be on sale at 8am on Monday, May 5th and can be purchased at Marketingontap.eventbrite.com.
