Acast has introduced Smart Adminessations, a new AI-driven search engine aimed at streamlining podcast ad plans for advertisers.
Launched under Acast Intelligence, the tool allows users to enter natural language prompts to instantly generate curated podcast lists that match the criteria of a particular audience.
Data-driven accuracy
Smart recommendations utilize 10 years of Acast’s own data and over 5 million data points from Podchaser.
It combines Openai’s language model with searched generation to act as an AI media planner, replacing manual campaign planning with faster, data-driven recommendations.
Powerful results in campaign efficiency and discovery
Early testing of the platform between internal teams and selected advertisers showed a 92% reduction in campaign planning time, according to Acast.
Additionally, 80% of media buyers have discovered new podcast options previously lacking in their plans.
Podcasts with fewer than 50,000 listeners saw notable uplifts, including a 14% increase in median purchase rates and a 35% increase in visits rates based on pod script data.
Acast Intelligence launch
The smart recommendation marks the first release under Acast Intelligence Banner, aiming to further integrate AI into podcast ad solutions.

Matt Macdonald, Acast’s Chief Product Officer, described the platform as a “second brain” for advertisers. “It’s about moving beyond speculation to truly understand and deliver the right audience,” he said.
Key features include advanced semantic search to understand context and conceptual nuances, rich show-level insights covering audience engagement and content tone, and transparent justification for each recommendation.
The tool is currently available through Acast’s advertising platform and is also used by the global sales team.
Henrik Isaksson, Regional Managing Director at Acast Anz, highlighted its connection with the local market. “The launch of smart recommendations is the perfect example of mercilessly pursuing a valuable podcast audience in Australia,” he said.
