According to Adobe’s 2025 AI and Digital Trends India Snapshot, Indian companies are at the forefront of adoption of generative artificial intelligence, successfully converting this into return on investment. This study shows that almost a quarter (23%) of Indian companies show measurable results for the highest number in the Asia-Pacific region, the generator AI.

The study found that management reported significant benefits from the generated AI based on a survey of 345 executives and 841 consumers in India. Key benefits include content ideas and production volume and speed (73%), as well as increased productivity and efficiency (67%).

Prativa Mohapatra, Vice President and Managing Director, Adobe India, said: “For further growth, businesses need to invest in solving data challenges and recruiting agent AI to provide teams free of charge from repetitive tasks, allowing more meaningful interventions to deliver relevant, real-time, personalized customer experiences.”

The report also highlighted that companies prioritizing optimizing their customer journey for 2025, then leveraging personalized experience and AI to drive broader business growth.

Despite these advances, this study uncovered gaps in meeting consumer demands for personalization. 77% of consumers want to receive personalized recommendations and offers, but only 53% of reports currently receive them.

The study shows that consumer acceptance of AI-powered assistants is increasing, with over half preferring tasks such as booking scheduling (56%), technical support (56%) and order placement (52%). Adobe suggests that this demonstrates consumer preparation for more advanced tools such as Agent AI.

In the future, 85% of management expect that generative AI will significantly increase the speed and volume of content production. However, there are still challenges. Practitioners cited the balance between AI and human creativity (55%) as an area that requires more work to achieve the full value of generated AI. Additionally, 57% of executives identified governance, compliance and privacy concerns as the main barriers to AI scaling.

Indian executives are increasingly turning their eyes to superpersonalize the customer experience with AI and machine learning, with 69% saying these technologies will have the most impact on technology stack decisions for the next 12-24 months.
