Hyderabad: Tencent may have made game development easier, perhaps with the release of a new open source AI model for 3D World Creation. It is compatible with CG pipelines for full editing and simulation.
Hunyuan3D World Model 1.0 enables developers to generate immersive, explorable, interactive 3D worlds from sentences and images alone, allowing users to better realize the world from their imagination.
Tencent has released Hunyuan3D World Model 1.0, an AI model that generates interactive 3D worlds from a single image or text. This is the first model to integrate with a computer graphics pipeline that allows for editing and simulation.
We are excited to be releasing Hunyuan3D World Model 1.0 and be able to release open source! This model allows you to generate immersive, explorable, interactive 3D worlds from just sentences and images.

Tencent says that the 360-degree explorable scenes created by Hunyuan3D World Model 1.0 can be used in other applications along with VR, digital content creation and game development. The Chinese company also provides links to the project with a hugging face and Github, and links to anyone to try out the new model via X posts.
In particular, the world created by Hunyuan can be exported as a 3D mesh and imported into popular game engines and modeling software to assist in game development. X users tried out the models, submitted their creations, and presented individual styles with texture details and the ability to move a little in the center.

The generated video is positioned along the sample introduced by Tencent Hunyuan in X. One user generated a fully exploreable 360-degree scene with a simple text prompt. Others have created a 3D world, which appears to be straight from a fairy tale book.
Given the 3D nature of these works, Hunyuan can be used to generate content tailored to Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest. This model can be tried at 3d.hunyuan.tencent.com.
