November 27, 2025 – Chinese technology companies tencent officially announced its global launch this week. Hunyuan 3D creation engineis an AI-powered platform designed to streamline 3D asset generation for creators and businesses.
According to Tencent, the release aims to simplify the creation of high-quality 3D models by allowing users to generate assets from text descriptions, images, or sketches, significantly reducing production time compared to traditional asset creation methods.
In addition, the Hunyuan 3D Model API will be made available through Tencent Cloud, the company’s cloud computing business, allowing global enterprises to integrate 3D generation capabilities into their workflows. Tencent says applications for the API include game development, e-commerce, movie special effects, advertising, social media content, and 3D printing.
Hunyuan 3D Global users will receive 20 free generation per day, and enterprise users accessing the API via Tencent Cloud will receive 200 free credits for 3D asset generation.
Since its first open source release in November 2024, the Hunyuan 3D model has received more than 3 million downloads on its community AI portal Hugging Face, Tencent said. The Hunyuan 3D series has gone through several improvements, and the latest version, Hunyuan 3D 3.0, focuses on producing high-quality object assets. Specialized models such as Hunyuan3D World are designed to support the creation of large-scale interactive environments for games, virtual reality (VR), and digital content.
Tencent said more than 150 companies in mainland China have integrated Hunyuan 3D models through Tencent Cloud, including Unity China, Bambu Lab, and Liblib, China’s largest AI content creation platform.
