On December 10, Purdue Polytechnic Institute had the honor of hosting Dr. Lingguang Song, Professor and Professor at UNC Charlotte, for an engaging installment of the Dean’s Lecture Series. Mr. Song’s presentation, titled “From AI to AI: The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Construction Research and Education,” captivated the audience with forward-thinking insights into the transformative role of AI in the construction industry.

Mr. Song discussed the opportunities and challenges that AI brings to construction research, education, and practice. He highlighted how collaboration between academia and industry can accelerate AI-driven innovation while preparing future leaders to navigate this evolving landscape.

Mr. Song also presented an actionable framework to foster partnerships that foster talent development, innovation, and growth in the construction sector. We are very grateful to Dr. Song for sharing his vision for the future of construction and engineering technology.
