Bernama expands AI courses to behind the scenes media staff, and also expands to Saba and Sarawak

Kuala Lumpur, February 24th (Bernama) – The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) plans to expand the organisation of AI-related courses not only to journalists and editors but also to behind the scenes staff in the journalism industry.

Bernama CEO Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin said this is consistent with the institution’s desire to ensure that the AI ​​courses it is implemented are implemented more comprehensively and focused on targeted participants.

“In fact, we are planning several other courses that include not only journalists and photographers, but people who work in the field of journalism, as well as people behind the scenes.

“Insya-Allah, we bring these courses to Sabah and Sarawak. I hope that many of our media friends can benefit in more ways from their knowledge of their respective AI and being able to help them in their respective fields of work.”

She told reporters this after attending the launch of the “Newsroom AI” course, hosted by Bernama, hosted by Communications Minister Fami Fazil.

Nur-ul Afida said the first Bernama “AI” course in a series of AI-related training programs for media experts was made possible with funds drawn from the special allocation of RM1 million announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (Hawana) at the celebration of Kuching, Sarawak, Sarawak, Sarawak, Sarawak, Sarawak, Sarawak, Sarawak and Sarawak.

She said Bernama will make every effort to realize its plan to implement AI courses as mandated by the government.

“This first course had good cooperation from Huawei and Redtone, bringing in US experts to share issues related to journalism’s AI,” she said.

Participating in 40 journalists and editors from various media organizations, the two-day course at the Huawei Customer Solution Innovation Center (CSIC) aims to enhance your understanding of AI and contemporary journalism applications.

Also, Simon Sun, CEO of Huawei Malaysia, Arul Rajoo Durar Raj, Editor-in-Chief of Bernama, Azlina Aziz, Executive Editor (Economic News Service) and Executive Editor (Assuming the duties of Associate Editor of International News Service) Hassan, Director General of Shukri ishak, Mohd Shukri Ishak.
