Today we are releasing early access to Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview (I/O Edition). This is an updated version of 2.5 Pro with significant improvements in coding capabilities, especially the ability to build engaging, interactive web apps. We planned to release this update at Google I/O in two weeks, but given the overwhelming enthusiasm for this model, we wanted to get it into your hands sooner so you can start building.
This is based on overwhelmingly positive feedback on Gemini 2.5 Pro’s coding and multimodal inference capabilities. These improvements extend beyond UI-focused development to other coding tasks such as code translation, code editing, and developing complex agent workflows.
