Note from Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai:

Almost two years ago, we launched the Gemini Era, one of the largest science and product initiatives we have ever undertaken as a company. It’s incredible how much people have loved it since then. AI Overview currently has 2 billion monthly users. Gemini apps have over 650 million monthly users, over 70% of cloud customers use our AI, and 13 million developers build using our generative models. This is just a small part of the impact we are seeing.

And thanks to our differentiated full-stack approach to AI innovation, we can deliver advanced capabilities to the world faster than ever before, from cutting-edge infrastructure to world-class research, models, tools, and products that reach billions of people around the world.

Each generation of Gemini builds on the previous generation, allowing them to do more. Gemini 1’s breakthroughs in native multimodality and longer context windows expand the type and amount of information it can process. Gemini 2 lays the foundation for agent functionality, pushing the frontiers of reasoning and thinking to help with more complex tasks and ideas, with Gemini 2.5 Pro outperforming LMArena for more than six months.

Now, we introduce Gemini 3, the most intelligent model that combines all of Gemini’s features to bring any idea to life.

This is cutting-edge reasoning, built to capture depth and nuance, whether recognizing subtle clues within a creative idea or peeling back the overlapping layers of a difficult problem. Gemini 3 is also better at understanding the context and intent behind your requests, so you can get what you need with fewer prompts. It’s amazing to think that in just two years, AI has evolved from simply reading text and images to reading rooms.

And starting today, we’re shipping Gemini at the same scale as Google. This includes Gemini 3, an AI mode of search with more complex inference and new dynamic experiences. This is the first time we’ve shipped Gemini in Search from day one. Gemini 3 is also available today to developers of Gemini apps, AI Studio and Vertex AI, and Google Antigravity, a new agent development platform. Details are explained below.

Like the previous generation, Gemini 3 once again advances state-of-the-art technology. In this new chapter, we will continue to pioneer the frontiers of intelligence, agents, and personalization to make AI truly useful for everyone.

We hope you like Gemini 3. We continue to improve and can’t wait to see what you build with Gemini 3. There is more to come!
