DaijiWorld Media Network – Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv, April 2: A team of Israeli scientists have developed SCNET, an advanced AI tool that promises to transform cell research and drug discovery by increasing the accuracy of genetic data analysis.

Developed at Tel Aviv University and published in Nature Methods, SCNET improves single-cell sequencing by eliminating background noise and mapping gene interactions. This innovation allows researchers to detect subtle biological responses that traditional methods often overlook.

In the trial, the tool analyzed T cells that are critical to immune responses and revealed how certain cancer treatments previously overlooked insights enhance their ability to combat tumors.

“This breakthrough shows how AI can overcome biological complexity,” the university said. Scientists believe SCNET could potentially lead to more personalized treatments by accelerating drug discovery and providing deeper insights into cell behavior.
