Krotos, an Edinburgh sound design technology development company, has created a useful new tool for content creators that could help significantly streamline their workflow. The company describes this as the world’s first commercial image-to-speech conversion function that utilizes AI.
This is the latest addition to Audio Professional’s Ambience Generator version 2 software.
The tool allows users to upload images that are analyzed by artificial intelligence and created descriptive prompts that users can adjust.
“Prompts are used to search through thousands of professionally recorded sounds to suggest the perfect audio environment to match your visual input,” Hunter Williams, the company’s public relations manager, told Mugglehead. said in a statement sent.
Krotos costs about $10 per month for the basic sound effects studio package and $23.33 per month for the pro version. Seamlessly integrates with Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple’s Final Cut Pro software, DaVinci Resolve, and other video and audio editing programs.

Krothos’ technology was used for dragons in Game of Thrones
The company’s sound editing software has been used in several high-profile productions.
Its use on the ice dragon Viserion from the hugely popular 2010s series Game of Thrones is one of the most notable. Fantasy Beast’s sound repertoire was created with Audio Expert’s Reformer software.
Last year, Krotos won Videomaker magazine’s “Best Audio Software” award.
“Krotos has opened the door to creativity not only for audio professionals but also for content creators and video editors,” the content creation publication said.
In 2022, Krotos completed a seven-figure funding round led by Greek venture capital firm Metavalon. The exact amount was not disclosed.
Other notable works that Krotos has contributed to include the 2019 remake of The Lion King, Stranger Things, and The Lord of the Rings. Additionally, the company’s technology is used in video games such as “Red Dead Redemption” and “Max Payne 3.”
Krotos was founded in 2013.
