YouTube has opened up about creator plans for decades to come, bringing in fresh AI-powered tools.
The video platform, held at the annual YouTube event, presented a new AI called “creative partner” called Ask Studio. This can provide a personalized summary of how the video works and the main points that the audience highlights in the comments.
YouTube calls the new tool a “trusted companion” of its creators, saying it “provides personalized, actionable strategic insights based on the creators, channels and how YouTube works.”
On Tuesday, September 16th, YouTube announced plans for new AI features that will help creators imagine future videos, including generating titles, descriptions, thumbnails and story summary.
The announcement comes as social media companies are leaning aggressively towards the AI boom and continue to integrate more AI-powered tools for creators while throwing AI agents and chatbots within the platform at users.
Many creators have been experimenting for years with a variety of AI tools that can help improve their videos, including those deployed by YouTube last year.
The company is also expanding its existing features such as automatic dubbing and deep faki detection.
As for live streams on the platform, YouTube says the new AI-powered highlights will automatically find and clip the “most persuasive” moments in each stream, turning them into shorts that creators can share.
Other features announced Tuesday include an enhanced A/B test option for newly uploaded videos and an option to add up to five collaborators to one video.
