Street View: Anchor the world to real-world locations
When you create your imaginary worlds in Project Genie, you can now base them on real-world locations. Select a location in the United States by tapping a pin on the map, and optionally choose a world style like “Desert Sand” or “Stone Age.” Then, you describe your character, whether it’s your favorite animal, comic book hero, or clay monster, and Genie uses this information to create an imaginative world whose starting location is tied to real-world images in Street View. This feature is powered by Maps Imagery Grounding, the same technology that developers use to create stunning AI visuals in Street View.
Want to see the Golden Gate Bridge under the sea? Choose the “Ocean World” style to scuba dive with schools of fish around the bridge. Or, if you want to see what the iconic Fort Worth Stockyards in Texas looked like in the 1920s, choose the “black and white film” style to see a world of saloons, vintage cars, and trading posts.
Project Genie Street View imagery is currently available in locations across the United States, with plans to expand to more locations in the future.
