Accenture and Microsoft have announced an extended collaboration to develop generative AI-driven cybersecurity solutions. The companies aim to help organizations reduce operational costs while reducing threats and streamlining technical tools.
The partnership comes after a recent Accenture Report highlighted that 90% of organizations are not properly prepared to defend against the threat of Ai-Augmented Cyber.
To address this, the collaboration will leverage the strengths of both companies to provide cybersecurity in four key areas. These include Security Operations Center (SOC) modernization, automated data and AI security, security-centered migration and integration, and enhanced identity and access management (IAM).
SOC Modernization Solutions leverages Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and Accenture’s Adaptive MXDR to Microsoft to improve threat visibility and response capabilities. By integrating AI-driven tools such as Microsoft Security Copilot, organizations can increase SOC efficiency by up to 30%.
In the field of automated data protection and AI security, collaboration employs Microsoft Purview and Accenture data security frameworks to automatically classify and protect sensitive data across the Microsoft 365 platform.
The security-centric migration and integration solution leverages Microsoft’s security suite, including Accenture’s E5 Acceleration Playbook and M365 E5 security integrated. This approach accelerates the transition to modern platforms and streamlines operations.
To enhance IAM, collaboration uses the Microsoft Entra Suite to transform an outdated Active Directory environment.
Accenture Security Global Lead Paolo Dal Cin said: “The global cyber threats currently leveraging AI are increasing speed, refinement and scale. By adopting automation and GEN AI solutions, organizations can rethink Secops and outweigh the rising rise of hostile cyber threats.
“The power of the combination of Accenture and Microsoft helps clients prevent future prevention against potential cyber threats, keeping critical data safe and increasing business resilience.”
The companies recently completed a successful project with the UK National Architecture Association.
The project involved a major migration to Microsoft Sentinel. This has created a unified security infrastructure that accelerates cyber threat detection and enhances cybersecurity operations.
In May 2025, Accenture collaborated with Dell Technologies and Nvidia to speed up the adoption of AI in businesses. The collaboration unveils a new AI solution driven by NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, leveraging Dell Technologies’ infrastructure.
