Adobe has added an “artificial intelligence (AI) assistant” to Photoshop. Apart from being a one-way system that inputs text and automatically edits images, it is also “my personal secretary,” where AI combines customized advice, suggestions, and content creation support.
Adobe held the world’s largest creative conference “Adobe Max 2025” in Los Angeles, California on the 28th (local time).
On this day, Adobe announced that it will introduce “AI Assistant” to Adobe’s representative content creation tools such as Express and Photoshop. Interactive interfaces implemented as content are applied simply by the user describing in words what kind of result they want and how they want to feel.
“AI Assistant automates repetitive editing tasks through an essentially interactive interface, providing personalized recommendations and how-to guidance,” an Adobe official said.
For example, creators can tell the AI to “blur this person’s background” or “smoothly change the lighting,” and users can directly tweak it with manual tools if needed. Additionally, when creating a flyer, users can enter the text they wish to edit at the prompt into the AI assistant running inside the express train, and it will be reflected in the flyer. In addition, the AI assistant can also modify certain objects within the content or change it to the desired format. In fact, the Express and Photoshop AI assistants received a great response during the Adobe Max on-site demonstration.
Home “Dovey is helping creators around the world maintain their creative freedom and time during an explosive demand for content,” said Deepa Subramaniam, Vice President of Creative Marketing. “AI is now evolving in ways that give creators even more freedom and precise control.”
In other words, if creators can receive personalized advice and suggestions from AI assistants, it will be possible to improve the quality of content results while simplifying the production process more conveniently.
“All creators should be able to take advantage of the economic and artistic opportunities brought by generative AI, interactive AI, and the explosive demand for content,” said David Wardwani, president of Adobe’s digital media division. In other words, AI is a tool that augments human creativity, not replaces it. (Los Angeles reporter Ko Min-seo)
