Arlo and Samsung increase home security with AI

Arlo Technologies, Inc. today announced an expanded partnership with Samsung Smartthings, bringing new features to the Smartthings community. Arlo allows SmartThings users to easily monitor their property and give their loved ones greater peace of mind.

The latest update brings some of the most popular features of Arlo Secure 5 to the SmartThings experience, providing more control and convenience for users to manage their smart home security. The update, scheduled for release this spring, will show you the following:

Two-way audio between SmartThings and Arlo camera and doorbell.

Event snapshots for improved visibility within Smartthings.

AI-powered object detection using Arlo’s advanced computer vision technology. Arlo’s platform identifies people, vehicles and packages, allowing SmartThings users to customize notifications and automation based on this information.

These new features for SmartThings users are part of Arlo Secure 5, and the next generation smart home security powered by Arlo Intelligence. Advanced computer vision AI and recognition engines can be used to provide more detailed and meaningful alerts, allowing users to make faster and more informed security decisions.
