New voice verification feature
All tracks generated by the Gemini app are embedded with SynthID, an imperceptible watermark that identifies Google AI-generated content. We will also provide more tools to help identify AI content and expand the verification capabilities of the Gemini app to include audio in addition to images and videos. Just upload a file and ask if it was generated using Google AI, and Gemini will check the SynthID and use its own inference to return a response.

Since we first announced Lyria in 2023, we have worked hard to develop this technology responsibly in partnership with the music community. We’ve learned a lot through these collaborations and experiments like the Music AI Sandbox, and we’ve paid close attention to copyright and partner agreements when training Lyria 3.
Lyria 3’s music generation is designed for original expression, not for imitating existing artists. When a prompt names a specific artist, Gemini takes this as broad creative inspiration and creates tracks that share a similar style and vibe. It also provides filters to check the output against existing content. We recognize that our approach may not be foolproof, so you can report content that may violate your rights or the rights of others. Additionally, to use our Products, you must comply with our Terms of Use and Gen AI’s Prohibited Use Policy, which prohibits violation of the intellectual property rights and privacy rights of others.
Lyria 3 is available on the Gemini app in English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese for all users 18 and older. We’re expanding our quality and language support, rolling out to desktop today and mobile apps in the coming days. Additionally, higher limits apply to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers.
