New Delhi (India), December 30 (ANI): AIIMS Delhi Director Dr. M. Srinivas on Monday said that in response to security for doctors at AIIMS, they have conducted a gap analysis after the RG Kar incident and leveraged artificial intelligence. The system added: Surveillance cameras are installed at key locations for security purposes.
“After the RG Kar incident, we did a gap analysis… we introduced artificial intelligence in certain areas… once we were very happy with the specific artificial intelligence and its software working, this We plan to install them across campus.” ”
“It will take time. We are also doing a lot of experimentation on that. But we are seeing a lot of action happening here after the RG Kar incident,” he added.
He further said selective cameras have been installed in suspected areas at key points such as main gates and emergency services.
“Data on key points of suspicion will be tracked and based on 95% satisfactory results further action will be taken to ensure safety. “Recognition technology is emerging as an important tool for surveillance and security purposes,” he said.
In October this year, AIIMS also introduced facial endotherapy and ICU as key safety measures following an incident at a hospital in Kolkata.
Demonstration testing of a facial recognition-based room access control system has begun in a mother-child block. (Ani)
