Moxie, a platform that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrency, is introducing a new financial model known as the “sex capital market” to address the challenges faced by adult content creators. Outlined by Moxie founder Neonwight, the initiative aims to provide these creators with a new avenue for financial inclusiveness and monetization, especially in industries that are often excluded from traditional banking and investment opportunities (1).
NeonWight highlighted that adult content creators are one of the most marginalized experts in society and face high processing costs from payment processors such as Visa and MasterCard, as the legal and reputational risks of their work are recognized. He shares his personal experience of bank discrimination, including cases in which banks blocked payments only by banks after two transactions, cites “not providing payments in such industries.” This exclusion from the traditional financial system has made creators more difficult to access loans and investment opportunities that other entrepreneurs normally take advantage of (1).
To solve these issues, Moxie has developed a crypto-based platform that allows creators to generate and distribute content using AI. This platform initially worked through the Virtuals protocol. This protocol allows users to entrust AI-generated adult content by paying ten virtual tokens. However, due to policy issues, Moxie eventually moved to her own model using an AI character named Jenny. As of August 12th, users can access AI-generated content by paying 400 Moxie tokens, providing a scalable and efficient solution for content delivery (1).
One of the key features of Moxie’s AI technology is its ability to maintain personal connections that drive the consumption of adult content. Over 80% of the annual revenue of only fans comes from customized 1:1 content. This is especially difficult for high-profile creators to maintain as their fan base grows and their physical capabilities drop. Moxie’s AI chatbots are trained in the personality of creators, allowing them to interact with their fans in authentic and engaging ways while still allowing them to create content that they can’t create themselves (1).
The platform also formed a strategic partnership to enhance its delivery. For example, Moxie partnered with Model Tori Sweetie to curate AI-generated content and interact with fans through live streaming. NeonWight explained that the AI chatbot is trained based on her personality, allowing for a more immersive experience for users. This model not only preserves the identity of the creator, but also expands the types of content that can be provided (1).
Martina Oliveira, the top creator of Privacy, a leading Brazilian adult content platform, shared her perspective on the impact of AI in the industry. He highlighted the importance of distinctive originality and personal engagement in competitive markets, while acknowledging that content generated by AI can potentially threaten those who rely on basic revenue content, particularly those who rely on the basic content of their income. Oliveira also noted current limitations on the quality of AI-generated video content for explicit materials, and expressed interest in potential partnerships with platforms such as Moxie, increasing productivity and exploring new content formats (1).
Despite the potential benefits of integrating Crypto into an adult content platform, Oliveira noted that adoption is slow. She acknowledged that Crypto could enhance transaction security and provide a more reliable payment system, but suggested that platforms such as Privacy and Only Fan would be hesitant to implement new features due to uncertainty about long-term viability (1).
Moxie’s approach to AI and Crypto represents a new solution to systemic problems in the adult content industry. By bypassing traditional financial barriers and reaching larger audiences through personalized AI interactions, the platform is redefineing how adult content is produced, distributed, and monetized.
