Sen. Sen. Pennycuick said officials will discuss new legislation in response to the alarming rise in AI-generated deepfake sexual images of children and non-consensual adults.
The document also prohibits the use of AI to produce child sexual abuse material (previously known as “child pornography”), which was not prohibited by law.
They say law enforcement now has the ability to prosecute individuals who create and disseminate this type of child sexual abuse material.
