Hugging Face’s AI policy is an interdisciplinary, interorganizational workstream. Instead of being part of a vertical communication or global affairs organization, our policy work is rooted in the expertise of many researchers and developers, from ethics and social regulars and legal teams to machine learning engineers working in healthcare, ART, and evaluation.
What we are working on is informed by embracing the needs and experiences of our community at the hub. We advocate for responsible openness, invest heavily in ethical measures research, transparency mechanisms, and platform safeguards, and translate lessons into policy.
