According to the growing concerns about misuse of technology by online criminals, the government announced it on Saturday, the government announced it on Saturday, the first country to illegally use artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Then, it was announced on Saturday.

The new law, which is part of the future crimes and police bills, is a crime to own, create, or distribute AI tools designed to generate child sexual abuse images. This law share the manuals to use AI for child exploitation.

Those who are guilty of creating or distributing such materials will face up to five years of prison, but possession of AI support abuse can lead to three years of penalty.

The crackdown is in a warning from the law enforcement organization and online safety groups on the rapid rise of the child abuse image generated by AI. Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) recorded 245 confirmation reports in such content in 2024. This is a rapid rise from 51 cases in 2023. In just 30 days last year, IWF found 3,512 AI -generated images on a single dark website. Increase the number corresponding to “Category A” -the most serious abuse material.

Officials use AI to “nudy” or use AI to “nudy” or to overlap the child’s face to existing abuse materials, and use it for compelling intimidation and forced to use. I say that I created. In some cases, the voices generated in the actual children’s AI, further increase the risk of exploitation.

Secretary Ivet Cooper said that the law was important in preventing AI -led crimes before expanding to actual abuse.

“We know that online predators often escalate to commit terrible crimes,” Cooper said. “It is important to work on children’s sexual abuse on both online and offline to protect the people better from new threats.”

Experts have warned that abuse materials generated in AI may normalize child exploitation, justify the behavior, and make it easier to avoid detection.

As part of a more strict approach, border powers will gain new permissions to unlock the digital device to suspicious criminals. In addition, those who operate or use a website to promote the sharing of child abuse generated by AI will face criminal accusations.

The British government is also working to make the deep -factor porn in AI a criminal, targeting individuals who create and share explicit materials without consent.

The athleticist and the child protection group welcome new laws, but emphasizes the importance of powerful execution mechanisms.

Derek Ray-Hill, a provisional CEO of Internet Watch Foundation, stated that this movement was an “important starting point”, but urged continuous alerts to prevent AI technology from being used.

Rani Govender, a policy manager of NSPCC’s Child Safety Online, has called for a harder monitoring of AI companies. “If possible, these abominable harms must prevent it from happening in the first place,” she said.

Crime and police bills, including these measures, will be introduced in Congress latter half this year.
