Hope compares this trend in the Artificial Intelligence Act with previous actions on digital privacy, saying, “States are accelerating efforts to regulate AI, and we expect that trend to continue.
Hope also touches on a wide range of sectors, “Unlike privacy laws, which tend to follow a more uniform structure, AI is already seeing laws emerge in everything from automated decision-making to deepfake and healthcare, as well as comprehensive AI laws.” “She added: “The range of use cases probably means a surge in diverse, state-specific laws.”
