Some people seek to change the “status quo,” while others seek greater freedom.

Lawmakers are divided over how to regulate companies developing artificial intelligence (AI).

Earlier this year, Sen. Ted Cruz proposed a provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that would suspend state AI regulations. The proposal was overwhelmingly rejected by colleagues.

Meanwhile, Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley has proposed or co-sponsored a number of bills that would hold AI companies accountable for the systems they develop. “The status quo is unacceptable,” Sen. Hawley said.

“I think businesses, AI companies, are benefiting tremendously right now,” said Sen. Hawley. “I think it’s the American people, the individuals, the workers that are really at risk with the current approach. It’s basically corporations doing whatever they want.”

Follow the Lord’s guidance and pray with us…

For senators and representatives who are considering federal regulations for the development of artificial intelligence. Seeking the wisdom of Senators Cruz and Hawley to introduce separate bills to change the rules of AI.
