Yorkshire AI Labs have partnered with Dr. Robward and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) at the University of Sheffield to launch DigitalCNC, an AI-driven precision manufacturing software company.

The venture aims to make a leap in applying artificial intelligence technology to manufacturing.

DigitalCNC uses AI technology to improve quality, efficiency and productivity. The solution has attracted interest from aerospace manufacturers, including Rolls-Royce and Boeing.

The company’s technology has been developed and verified through years of joint research and development with AMRC and the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics.

“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the future,” said Ward, CEO of Spinout.

“I used my CTO David Wilkinson to do some basic research and turn it into an industrial-ready product.

“The partnership with DigitalCNC, co-founded with Yorkshire AI Labs, is Smart Choice, which brings together deep AI expertise and is renowned for building and scaling successful businesses along with a world-class team of Silicon Valley veterans.”

Yorkshire AI Labs specializes in nurturing early-stage high-tech companies by combining strategic investments with actionable expertise.

“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the world,” said David Richards, co-founder of Yorkshire AI Labs.

“Dr. Rob Ward’s globally recognized expertise in machining science and control engineering is at the heart of this pioneering venture.

“We are proud to support such innovative initiatives that will strengthen Yorkshire’s position at the forefront of global technology development.”

Professor Ashutosh Tiwari, Vice President of Innovation at the University of Sheffield, added:

“As a spin-out from the University of Sheffield, it demonstrates our commitment to transforming world-class research into real-world impacts.

“DigitalCNC is poised to transform advanced manufacturing industries around the world by applying cutting-edge AI to increase productivity, operational efficiency and global competitiveness at scale.”
