Resale technology provider Archive has announced a collection of new AI capabilities aimed at expanding its business and giving brands a stronger foundation for reselling.
New capabilities under the Archive Intelligence umbrella address warehouse management to optimize logistics costs and customer outcomes, merchandising and pricing data, and provide brand teams with reports on inventory, pricing patterns and category trends.
The company is also piloting agent commerce tools to help shoppers understand used inventory. These features are designed to help customers explore products and discover new styles, as well as answer questions about fit, materials, and use cases.
Archive chief technology officer and co-founder Ryan Rowe said in a statement that reselling is more complex than traditional e-commerce, so the deployment of AI aims to understand this complexity in real time, allowing brands to build “highly optimized and profitable resale businesses, even if you’re not a resale expert.”
Lowe further stated, “This creates a stronger path to scale while improving margins and delivering a better experience for shoppers through cleaner data, smarter merchandising, and dynamic pricing. AI is not an add-on for resale; it is becoming increasingly important as the infrastructure that enables these businesses to profitably scale.”
