Stony Brook University’s Business College will host a groundbreaking event Tuesday, April 15th from 3:30pm to 4:30pm entitled “Artificial Intelligence: Restructuring Learning and Work – Building Human Connections Through Communication.”

The event brings together key minds of technology and education to explore the transformational power of AI. It features two well-known guest speakers: Velchamy Sankarlingam, president of Zoom’s products and engineering, and Simeon Ananou, vice president of information technology at Stony Brook University. The discussion will be moderated by Haresh Gurnani, dean of the College of Business.

Investigating the impact of AI on communication and connection

AI has evolved rapidly and has become an integral part of a variety of industries, including education and business. The event aims to delve into how AI shapes the way we learn and work, particularly in enhancing communication and promoting human connection. A graduate of SBU and a key figure at Zoom, Sankarlingam shares insights on how AI-driven tools can revolutionize virtual communications platforms and make interactions more seamless and effective.
