Quick Lead:
Australia is the country that is most obsessed with AI, recording AI usage per resident of over 5M. Europeans rely most on AI, with five countries visiting AI platforms on average 3.5m a year per person. The US has the highest utilization of AI tools, with services using services that directly constitute 20% of all AI activities in the country.
Every year, reliance on AI continues to increase, and in 2025, global use of AI has increased by 20%, reflecting an increase in dependence on these technologies.
A new study by decentralized crypto exchange company Eskimoz has set out to identify countries that are most obsessed with AI.
This study assessed three AI activity-related factors, including total visits to AI-themed websites and applications, traffic per 100K residents, and frequency of use of AI tools.
Looking at per capita traffic, we ensured a fair comparison between countries where platform and website visits were ranked in descending order by per capita visits.
Here is a summary of the findings:

Australia is the country that is most obsessed with AI, registering over 5m visits to AI platforms (100K residents) per person. In total, Australians use 1.35 billion times a year, with nearly 2% of that traffic going to AI tools, including chatbots and content generators.
The Netherlands is closely followed in second place, with just under 5 million people working on AI services about 5k less than Australia. Overall, people in the country rely on AI over 917 million times more than AI, with AI tools making up just 1% of its activities.
Canada holds the third place in the country that is most obsessed with AI, earning an AI interaction rate of 4.8 million. In total, Canadians use artificial intelligence 2 billion times a year than both Australia and the Netherlands. Interested in specialized AI tools rather than general use, which is equivalent to 2.4% of AI queries twice as much as Australia.
The US ranks fourth, with the highest total traffic to AI platforms. In just a year, the US A has been used 16.4 billion times, 140 billion times more than any other country in the world. AI tools account for 20% of all traffic and account for the highest share of the list. Even with a larger population, the US maintains per capita AI interest, maintains AI interactions of 4.7 million, slightly behind its neighbor Canada.
The UK concludes with the top five most involved countries in AI, with AI usage of 3.5m. People frequently turn to AI, earning a total of 2.4b queries for artificial intelligence each year, placing the UK in countries with the most intense use of AI. A significant portion of this traffic comes from AI tools, accounting for 3% of visits.
Germany ranked 6th and posted the second highest total traffic on the AI platform. Recording 2.6B usage is right behind the US in overall involvement. The country also shows a strong dependence on AI tools, accounting for 3.18% of the double visits seen in Australia.
Spain ranked 7th in the list of the most AI-aggregated countries. The AI activity here is very similar to Australia’s 1.4B, but the specialized AI tools account for 1.77% of all interactions with artificial intelligence. The population is 48m, which means that 3 million AIs will be used per person, reflecting their high dependence on AI apps and services.
France ranks 8th, closing out European countries, earning an average AI interaction rate of 2.9m. While ranked very close to Spain, France surpasses that with a total visit to artificial intelligence platforms, reaching 1.9b. The French also show a significant dependence on AI tools, accounting for 2.4% of all uses, indicating that it is even higher than Canada’s share.
Peru ranks 9th and has an AI usage rate of 2.6m. This is the only South American country on the list, registering 926 million AI visits, almost 10 million more than the Netherlands. Peru also shows a high dependence on AI tools, with 1.15% of consumption coming from these services.
Malaysia is number 10th in the country most obsessed with AI, finishing the list with a 2.4m AI interaction rate per 10,000 people. Total visits to the artificial intelligence platform reached 888m just behind Peru, with AI tools accounting for 1.09% of all uses.
A spokesman for Eskimoz commented,
“AI is no longer a niche tool. People are becoming part of their own daily work, learning and enjoyment. The scale of engagement across the country shows that both individuals and businesses are increasingly dependent on these technologies. Understanding usage patterns helps to highlight where AI is most deeply integrated and requires support, education and responsible adoption strategies.”
