The AI company had an exciting idea. However, we had a hard time hiring AI engineers.
This was the idea. AI can be used to prevent chronic health conditions such as diabetes. My co-founder and I developed a company called AI in January, raised funds from investors, and posted AI engineering work. However, the candidates we saw were not inspired. They were more interested in something like Openai, which could tackle flashy tools with a wide range of appeal, rather than applications like Health.
This problem is common among small businesses. Everyone competes for talent against the giants of the industry. So we have to be creative and provide what our large competitors can’t.
