I’ve always been coloring, but today there’s clearly a whole new way to do it. Frankly, I don’t necessarily need to bring out the best colored pencils because I can color digitally where the fun lies.
But I can also easily create my own coloring page online. And that appeals.

It took me a few minutes to do anything. But when it was finished, this is what I got…
I think the outcome is very sweet. It added a random ribbon before one of the stones, but otherwise it was pretty accurate and the details of my uneven dress are correct.
Next I tried text that colored the page generator. I asked to produce a cat sitting on the roof and eating pizza (not the most exciting prompt, but hey, I’m writing this, so late in the day), and this is what I got…
Again, this is pretty cute. It’s pretty basic (like a prompt), but pretty cute.
Next, I tried out the coloring page feature from sketches. This is a bit confusing as the artwork appears to have color. This means it will no longer be a coloring page. But it’s really fun to do anyway.
I put in a coworker’s little raccoon character (thank you, Henry).
And I got the following…
I had to sign up for an account to use this last feature, but it was pretty easy to do so. However, this feature uses a credit system, so you also need to pay to download images without the website at the bottom.
This was a fun and distracting way to spend a bit of time, but I don’t think it’s novel enough to want to pay unless there’s a specific use case.
I definitely recommend the feature of the coloring photos page as it was the most enjoyable for me. I’m sure kids also enjoy creating their own coloring pages using text generators.
