Fractal Analytics, an artificial intelligence (AI) analytics company, raised $170 million (approximately 1,461 crores) and valued the company at $2,444 billion (Rs 20,978). The public market bound company has sold a 6% stake secondary by long-time investor Apax Partners.

Buyers include 22 investors and funds advised by Trust Investment Advisors, as well as funds managed by White Oak Capital Management, Gaja Capital and Neo Asset Management. This was reported by the news channel.

Unicorn has previously reported that following initial public offerings (IPOs) worth $400 million to $500 million, ET has been focused on a list of exchanges that could value nearly $3 billion in companies.

The company will hire bankers Morgan Stanley, Kotak Securities and Axial Securities, and the draft Red Herring prospectus is expected to be submitted to market regulators. The offer is a mix of primary and secondary stock sales, with some investors selling shares in part.

“When Fractal raised its final round by TPG Capital in 2023, it was valued at $1.55 billion, before the company ventured into Genai Solutions and Services,” said an executive who didn’t want to be identified. “It’s early to comment on the exact rating, but it’s a healthy multiple of Fractal’s final round.”

The person added, “While early stage investors such as Apax Partners and Khazanah Nasional Berhad (The Government of Malaysia) have been associated with Fractal for six years, TPG may be looking at the exit.

The company has raised $855 million so far.

The new funds will be invested in the company’s generative AI services portfolio, research and development, global expansion, and the expansion of several existing loans, Knowledge People said.

Founded in 2000 by Srikanth Velamakanni and Pranay Agrawal, Fractal Analytics operates in areas such as computer vision technology, machine learning, quantum computing, cognitive automation, and conversational AI.

It operates in the US (which accounts for 70% of revenue), followed by Europe (20%) and Australia, the Middle East and India (10%).

Fractal Analytics began with Genai with Digital Sales Advisory Solution Flyfish, Conversational AI Solution Fractal GPT, and Data Science Agent Arya. Recently, we have developed India’s first spreading model, from text to image. It claims that it generates high quality images from text prompts in English and Indian languages and can be released in two weeks.
